Caraga State University (CSU) has solidified its position as a national powerhouse in innovation, hauling its second Palladium Cluster Award, the highest distinction given to top-performing Innovation and Technology Support Offices (ITSOs), and its sixth Platinum Cluster Award during the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) ITSO Presidents’ Summit and General Assembly 2026 held today, March 25, at the Diversion 21 Hotel in Iloilo City.

The Palladium Award is the highest distinction granted by IPOPHL and is reserved for institutions that successfully file international patent applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) or maintain a five-year streak of Platinum status.

By securing the Palladium, CSU achieved a “total sweep” of IPOPHL recognition tiers, simultaneously earning Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum citations. This achievement marks the sixth consecutive year CSU has been recognized as a top-tier awardee, reflecting a relentless commitment to technology transfer and intellectual property protection.

In addition, CSU also received a Special Citation Award for its aggressive efforts in IP protection, specifically for filing at least 10 patent applications within the year. This citation highlights the university’s practical success in securing intellectual assets and fostering an environment where research is translated into protected technologies.

The CSU delegation was led by University President Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil along with the Vice President for Research and Development, Innovation and Extension (VPRDIE) Dr. Jeffrey T. Dellosa. Accompanying them is CSU Main Campus TTLO Director Kenneth L. Ciudad, CSU Cabadbaran Campus (CSUCC) RDIE Division Chief Dr. Nathalie L. Duminar, and CSUCC TTLO Head Engr. Novie Dave B. Perez.

With this latest haul of accolades, Caraga State University reinforces its mission to turn academic excellence into tangible socio-economic impact through the Technology Transfer and Licensing Office (TTLO)

Congratulations, CSU and TTLO! Bugsay!
