Adding to the roster of programs officially approved for operation, the Master of Science in Computer Science and the Master of Science in Crop Science were issued the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) on March 19, 2026. MS Computer Science will be offered in August this year.
COPCs are official documents that indicate and certify a specialized academic program offered by an intuition met CHED’s minimum standard and requirements. It confirms that the programs mentioned are now authorized to operate and have passed evaluations on their curriculum, faculty, facilities, and learning resources. Having COPCs ensures that Golden Paddlers receive quality education aligned with national standards and are eligible to take licensure examinations in regulated professions.
Both programs have dedicated Task Forces to ensure that requirements and submissions are prepared before the visit and that compliance reports are sent for their concerns and recommendations. To date, the university has 67 programs (77.91%) with COPCs across both campuses.
As a whole, the CSU community congratulates the colleges and the personnel involved in this endeavor. Bugsay!
