Caraga State University (CarSU) Cabadbaran City strengthened its internationalization efforts through a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Universitas Bosowa (UNIBOS), Indonesia, on June 4, 2026.

The virtual signing ceremony brought together university leaders and academic officials from both institutions to formalize a partnership focused on education, research, innovation, faculty and student development, and community engagement.

Caraga State University President Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil highlighted the importance of international partnerships in strengthening collaborative research, innovation, and academic excellence.

CarSU Cabadbaran Campus Director Dr. Deomila B. Mamaoag, on the otherside, emphasized that the partnership is anchored on a shared commitment to quality education, innovation, and meaningful community engagement that would create sustainable opportunities for students, faculty members, and researchers from both institutions.

As an initial step towards implementation, both universities discussed faculty and student exchange programs, joint publications, academic forums, community-based initiatives, and 15 potential collaborative research projects.

The Memorandum of Understanding serves as a foundation for future academic and research initiatives, bringing together the strengths of both institutions while promoting knowledge exchange, innovation, and closer ties between the Philippines and Indonesia.

This partnership was made possible through the efforts of the Office of International and Global Engagement (OIGE), which led the coordination and engagement activities that culminated in the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.
