CSU receives commendation from OCD Caraga for continued support to DRRM initiatives

Caraga State University (CSU), through the CSU-Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CSU-DRRMO), received a plaque of commendation during the Annual Observation National Disaster Resilience Month Culmination Program by the Office of the Civil Defense Caraga on July 29, 2026, at The Pavilion, Watergate Hotel, Butuan City.
The culmination activity gathered member agencies, stakeholders, and local government units in celebrating Caraga’s accomplishments to advance the region’s resilience. This year’s observance of the NDRM was themed as “NAGHAHANDA at KUMIKILOS tungo sa PANATAG na BAGONG PILIPINAS.”

DRRM Director, Dr. Urlie G. Anino, and members of the CSU-DRRM Office represented CSU on behalf of the University President, Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil. They received the Plaque of Commendation awarded to CSU in recognition of its steadfast commitment and invaluable contributions and support to the continued pursuit of a safer, more adaptive, and disaster-resilient Caraga Region.

The same award, Plaques of Commendation, were also given to Dr. Urlie G. Anino and two other CSU officials, Ms. Marjorie L. Escartin, Director of the Project Management Office, and Arch. Magichael B. Cloribel, Division Chief for Campus Facility, Safety, and Security Services, in recognition of their technical expertise and commendable contribution as an Evaluator during the CY 2025 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED).
Last July 27, 2026, CSU also held its culmination activity for the university’s observance of the annual NDRM.
