The College of Engineering & Geosciences' (CEGS) Bachelor of Science in Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering (BSABE) and Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BSEcE) programs have been granted a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) through CMO No. 94 and No. 101 s. 2017, respectively. These certificates add to the list of CHED-compliant programs offered by the college, bringing the total to four.
Mr. Dranreb B. Reyes, a second-year Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) student at Caraga State University, and his fellow Captcha wildcard team members earned 2nd Place in the latest 2023 Hack4Gov National Competition held at the Manila Grand Opera Hotel, Santa Cruz, Manila last October 16, 2023. He was also a recipient of the Performance Excellence Award.
The Caraga State University Faculty Association elected its new set of Officers for Academic Year 2018-2020. The officers took their oath of office with CSU President, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso last April 17, 2018. The following are the newly elected faculty association officers:
Fourteen (14)Caraga State University (CSU) faculty members from the different colleges were trained on Cleaner Production Technology (CPT) last September 11-13, 2017 at the Grand Palace Hotel, Butuan City. The training was sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology –Caraga Region which aims to capacitate local pool of consultants and create a CPT team in the region.
On February 22, 2017, Caraga State University’s College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) headed by Dean Meriam M. Santillan spearheaded the opening and blessing of the newly built Mechatronics and Robotics building.
The state of the art building houses CSU’s Phil-LIDAR 1 and Phil-LIDAR 2, Caraga Center for Geo Informatics, Incubation Laboratory, Caraga Fabrication Laboratory, CRAFT or the Center for Robots, Automation and Fabrication Technologies, Computer Technology Laboratory and more.
