February 13, 2020. CSU President Anthony M. Penaso in his State of the University Address (SUnA) highlighted the University’s infrastructure accomplishments, on-going, and incoming projects as well as the students’ remarkable performance in professional licensure examinations.
CSU President, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso joined other academic executives in the Singapore based The Head Foundation (THF) and the South East Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Leadership Development Program for HEIs in Southeast Asia. The program was designed as a capacity building workshop for academic leaders, administrators, and middle and senior managers of Southeast Asian. The training was held on January 13-17 at SEARCA.
The newly approved research program “Industrial Tree Plantation Species Research and Innovation Center (ITPS Center) for Upgrading the Wood-based Industry” under the “Niche Centers in the Region for the R&D (NICER)” of DOST has commenced on October 1, 2019.
Caraga State University (CSU) joined all other stakeholders in the Philippine startup ecosystem during the 3rd National Technology Business Incubator (TBI) Summit organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), QBO, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) as part of the Philippine Startup Week (PHSW) 2019 celebrations held last November 20-22, 2019 at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Manila, Philippines.
Caraga State University extended care and love for its students as it steered an Intervention Program called ‘Pag-atiman sa Panginahanglan’ which reached out to students who had low performance on their middle term grade. This program includes series of activities spearheaded by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs in collaboration with the Guidance Counseling Office, and the Office of the Admission and Scholarships.
