3 CSUans top March 2023 Licensure Exams for Professional Teachers

Three CSUans landed in the top 10 of the March 2023 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT).

CSU alumna Bless Marie S. Gomera (8th Placer) led the new batch of CSUan professional teachers with a score of 90.80 percent in the elementary level.

CSU Dilaab Class of 2022 valedictorian, Roxanne Joyce N. Salinas (10th Placer), and salutatorian, Henry Joshua E. Sagmon (10th Placer), both joined Gomera in the top 10 with ratings of 90.40 percent (elementary level) and 91.00 percent (secondary level), respectively.

The University’s passing rate for first-time takers improved compared to the previous examination cycles with 98.84 percent or 85 out of 86 examinees in the elementary level and 88.67 percent or 133 out of 150 examinees in the secondary level. The overall performance in the latest examination cycle posted a 77.69 percent passing percentage for the elementary level and 76.72 percent passing percentage for the secondary level.

The national passing rate of March 2023 LEPT tallied 40.76 percent or 24,819 elementary teachers out of 60,896 examinees and 46.94 percent or 48,005 secondary teachers out of 102,272 examinees, announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) on May 19, 2023. -CEd/pico
