March 27, 2023 – Four (4) CSU delegates attended the 36th Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Incorporated Annual National Conference and General Assembly 2023 at the Century Park Hotel, Malate, Metro Manila, last March 27-29, 2023.

CSU's delegates were spearheaded by the Vice President for Executive Operations and Auxiliary Services, Dr. Michelle V. Japitana, along with the director of Quality Assurance Management Services, Dr. Fernando T. Herrera, one of the senior accreditors, Dr. Rosalina Y. Sagocsoc, and Quality Assurance administrative staff, Ms. Joy Mariz D. Otero.

Atty. Cinderella Filipina Benitez-Jaro, the Executive Director IV of the Commission on Higher Education, emphasized the changes in SUC Levelling, such as new Key Result Areas and Indicators, overall scoring, key and overarching principles, instruction, research and extension, and management capability. She also shared her take on quality assurance based on CHED's mandates. Discussions on improving national and international partnerships and linkages in quality assurance and accreditation, the Philippine Quality Award (PQA), and Quality Assurance were also done. It is worth noting that CSU applied for PQA last year and is currently waiting for the result.

The three-day event was graced by the university presidents, college presidents, and other authorized representatives of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs)/Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs),/Private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of the country. The topics discussed during the plenary sessions enlightened the universities and colleges, covering the totality of attaining quality management and quality education.
