CSU Researchers go to Paris

Forming part of the joint research project of Caraga State University (CSU) with the University of Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV) in Amiens France, four faculty researchers from the College of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (CMNS) were sent to France for immersion, to include visit to the UPJV research laboratories and undertake research on November 21-30, 2022.

The research project on Modelling Gastropod Distribution as Vectors of Schistosomiasis is funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD).

The collaboration includes a training on Parasitological Techniques and Modeling of Ecosystems that has already been conducted last September during the CIMPA School Philippines 2022. Two Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) have already been signed by CSU and UPJV in France and in Silpakorn University in Thailand as well.

Moreover, faculty researchers of UPJV have also been in CSU from August 22-September 02, 2022 to attend the CIMPA School Philippines 2022 and visited the project site at Lake Mainit, Surigao del Norte, Philippines.

The researchers in the mobility program are Dr. Jayrold P. Arcede, CSU Project Head, Dr. Joyce C. Jumawan, Dr. Jess H. Jumawan, and Ms. Airish P. Pelemeniano. APP/PICO
