Snappy salutes and congratulations overflowed to Caraga State University’s Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Cadets as they achieved a remarkable score of 945.50 points, equivalent to 94.55% during this year’s Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI). This made them the highest-scoring corps among the nine (9) schools in the region that underwent the same assessment.

The Reserve Command (RESCOM) of the Philippine Army organized the said inspection, with Col. Jonathan P. Obena INF (GSC) PA, Group Commander, 15RCDG, RESCOM, PA, and Chairperson of RAATI for Academic Year 2022-2023 taking the lead. The primary objective of this inspection was to measure the degree of administrative efficiency, training management proficiency, quality of training and education attained by the corps of cadets, determine the extent of support provided by the school, and encourage all ROTC Units to strive for quality and excellence.

The RAATI team promptly initiated the inspection, and the cadets demonstrated their skills and expertise through a series of assessments conducted by the evaluators.

The Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) serves as a practical application for the cadets, reinforcing their understanding of the fundamental principles of the military. It includes a range of tests, including Inspection in Ranks, Close Order Drill, Map Reading, Field Stripping (US Cal.5.56mm M16A1 Rifle), Knot Tying, Raid/Ambush, First Aid/Basic Life Support, Comprehensive Examination, General Administrative Inspection. These evaluations ensured the competency of the ROTC units.

By evaluating the operational readiness and functional capacity of the ROTC units, the RAATI supports basic military training and contributes to the development of well-prepared trainees for the country's national defense. UPRESS/PICO/ARP
