YESTERDAY, November 29 – Executive members of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Regional Office XIII visited the University to conduct the Career Guidance Advocacy Congress held at the Activity Loft of HERO Learning Commons and broadcast via Zoom and Facebook. All graduating college students of Caraga State University's Main Campus were invited. CSU’s Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services and the Office of Guidance and Counseling took the helm in hosting this activity for PRC.

The congress presented a unique opportunity for students to unlock their potential as they delve into discussions on the 46 professions regulated by the PRC. The activity became a platform for providing invaluable insights, including post-graduation career opportunities, application process, licensure examination requirements, and registration procedures for becoming a licensed professional.

The highlight of the congress was the discussions led by professionals in the fields of Forestry led by RPF Michael A. Moreno, Mr. Ryl Lyron Patayan for Social Work, and Engr. Francis Glenn N. Suante for the Mining Engineering. PRC-ROXII Regional Director Cheryll P. Elicano personally messaged and encouraged the students to open their minds, listen to the experts, engage in active discussions, ask questions, and utilize the opportunity to widen their perspectives and know more about their chosen and future careers. By attending, students gained a deeper understanding of the regulatory landscape of various professions and learned about the PRC's role in ensuring the competence and integrity of professionals in the Philippines.

The event encourages students to look forward to their future as professionals now that they have received firsthand guidance from the PRC. │via pico
